Concept of these two artworks: It speaks about how sometimes we dim our inner light to accommodate others or while facing a tough situation where your energy just leaves because of it. This is a reminder to always taking care of your light, no matter what. Because that is one of the most valuable treasures that you can have (and there is very little in this world of that).
These two paintings are part of my Valentine’s Day new collection “Would You Be My Valentine?”. It speaks about how important is to add love into our lives. These two minimalist artworks want to express that love is complicated but definitely worthy. A life without love is it even a life? This new collection talks about the love from oneself, to start with, because without it, we cannot appreciate the love given by somebody else toward us. There is love everywhere, in our daily lives, but we tend to dismiss it because we only focus on the love given between two people, as a couple. But love exists when you look at yourself in the mirror or talk to yourself inside your head. Love exists when you smile kindly to some stranger who may be having a rough day. Love exists when you feel connected to Earth because of a warm sunset or at the wake-up of a sunrise. Love exists when you care about that friend who is struggling. Love exists when you are sharing a meal with your family. Do you need more examples? I am sure you can picture it. Love is everywhere your heart moves in that special way.
This new collection is made of 6 double paintings called “Would You Be My Valentine?”, and it was done for the international day of love, Valentine Day, to let everyone know that, there are many kind of love, not just the couple type, and everyone should feel it, specially in this day where many people feel sad about not being in a romantic relationship.
