This piece tells a story about me. My name, Rosa, from my grandmother, my father’ side. Rosa means Rose, like the flower. If you look at this flower from its top view, you can see how the petals close up over each other, making a figure near to the one that the painting shows. It looks complex but delicate, it moves around like a total mess but redirecting the chaos to get stronger. It pulls out light from the darkness.

It was made in Leeds, United Kingdom, when I was living there, at the same moment as the piece “Lungs”, so they are like siblings connected by the same feeling but expressing another side of their personality.

Size: 100x100cm.

It comes with a top and bottom support so it is ready to hang.

Black acrylic paint on white canvas. It comes with two wooden strips (top and bottom) to hold the piece firmly in the wall. You can remove those if you prefer to place it in a different way.
